Assistant Vice President, Cybersecurity

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization’s comprehensive information security strategy and oversee the implementation of robust cybersecurity programs.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and configuration reviews to identify and mitigate risks across the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Analyze network traffic, security logs, and threat intelligence to detect, investigate, and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Research and recommend innovative security solutions and enhancements to strengthen the organization’s defense against evolving cyber threats and align with industry best practices and standards.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance during the design, development, and implementation of new IT projects to ensure the integration of robust security controls and principles.
  • Offer technical support, training, and troubleshooting for the organization’s cybersecurity products, solutions, and tools.
  • Lead and manage a team of skilled cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, proactive threat hunting, and security-focused mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to enhance the organization’s overall information security posture.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s critical assets.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Holder of relevant industry-recognized security certifications, such as OSCP, SSCP, CEH, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity, or security management roles.
  • Proven track record in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, security monitoring, and the application of international security standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and securing various systems, applications, and networks in different environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in leading and developing a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
